A black satin saree with an Ajrakh (Ajarakh) print border and pallu, cut 6.5 metres including blouse fabric. The body is left plain black, so the Ajrakh does all the talking: cream, red and slate medallions banded along the pallu and running down the border.
It's the classic on-screen look, a plain dark drape with an ornate printed edge, and it's the most versatile shape a saree can take. Satin keeps the drape smooth and light.
What you're getting
- Fabric: Satin
- Colour: Black, with cream, red and slate motifs
- Print: Ajrakh print border and pallu on a plain black body
- Pallu and border: Banded Ajrakh medallions with a fine red outline along the edge
- Length: 6.5 metres, including blouse fabric
Where to wear it
Office wear, presentations, evening events, cultural occasions and get-togethers.
How to style it
Pearls or a silver choker look striking against the plain black; oxidised silver suits the Ajrakh motifs. A printed blouse made from the border fabric, or a plain black one, both work well.
Caring for it
Dry clean only. Iron on medium heat, on the reverse side to protect the print, and store the saree folded in a muslin cover away from direct sunlight.
Please note: slight colour variation from the images is possible due to camera settings and lighting. Returns and exchanges are not accepted on this ground.
