A lemon yellow georgette Ghatchola saree in real Bandhani, cut 6.5 metres including a dark pink blouse piece. Zari lines cross the pale yellow body into a checked grid, with a rani pink Bandhani dot tied into each square and softer olive-toned dots scattered between them. The dots are tie-dyed by hand, not printed — the fabric is still crushed around every knot where the dye couldn't reach.
The pallu turns deep rani pink with zari checks and butis, closing in a wide floral zari border with pink tassels at the edge. A matching zari band runs along the lower edge of the body.
Yellow is the haldi colour. If you are attending one — or hosting — this is the saree that belongs there, and the Ghatchola craft gives it more substance than the plain yellows most people end up wearing.
What you're getting
- Fabric: Georgette
- Colour: Lemon yellow, with a rani pink pallu and zari borders
- Craft: Ghatchola, with zari checks, real tie-dyed Bandhani and a zari border
- Blouse: Dark pink blouse fabric, included in the 6.5 metres
- Length: 6.5 metres, including blouse fabric
Where to wear it
Haldi ceremonies above all, plus mehendi functions, Basant Panchami, daytime weddings, festive occasions and family celebrations.
How to style it
Gold jewellery matches the zari; for a haldi, keep it light — jhumkis and bangles rather than a full set, since the day gets messy by design. The dark pink blouse piece pulls the pallu colour into the look.
Caring for it
Dry clean only. Zari needs gentle handling: steam iron on low heat, avoid pressing directly over the zari, and store the saree folded in a muslin cover away from direct sunlight.
Please note: slight colour variation from the images is possible due to camera settings and lighting. Returns and exchanges are not accepted on this ground.
Frequently asked questions
Is this real Bandhani or a Bandhani print?
Real Bandhani. The dots are tie-dyed — small sections of fabric are tied off by hand before dyeing, so the colour cannot reach them. This is not a printed imitation.
How can I tell real Bandhani from a print?
Tie-dyed Bandhani leaves the fabric crushed and puckered around each knot, and the dots vary slightly in size and shape. A print is flat and perfectly uniform. On this saree you can see and feel the texture where every dot was tied.
Is this a good saree for a haldi ceremony?
Yes. Yellow is the traditional haldi colour, and this one is light enough in georgette to wear through a long daytime function. Keep in mind that haldi paste stains — this is a dry clean only saree, so wear it for the ceremony rather than the middle of the turmeric itself.
What is a Ghatchola saree?
Ghatchola is a traditional Rajasthani style in which zari lines divide the fabric into a grid of squares, with a motif set inside each one. It's worn at weddings and festive occasions across Rajasthan and Gujarat.
What fabric is this saree made of?
Georgette, which is light with a soft, flowing drape. It is not a silk or a silk blend.
What is Bandhani?
Bandhani is a traditional tie-dye craft from Gujarat and Rajasthan, known for tiny dotted patterns. On this saree, the tie-dyed Bandhani dots sit inside the zari squares.
What is zari?
Zari is metallic thread. Here it forms the checked grid across the body, the butis on the pallu, and the floral border.
Does this saree come with a blouse?
Yes. A dark pink blouse piece is included in the 6.5 metre length. It needs to be stitched to your measurements; a stitched blouse is not included.
What is the length of this saree?
6.5 metres in total, including the blouse fabric.
Why do the Bandhani dots vary slightly?
Because each one is tied by hand. The mix of deep rani pink and softer olive-toned dots is a result of that process, not a flaw — a perfectly even pattern would mean it was printed.
What jewellery goes with it?
Gold to match the zari. For a haldi, jhumkis and bangles are enough.
How do I care for a Bandhani zari saree?
Dry clean only. Steam iron on low heat, avoid pressing over the zari, and store it folded in a muslin cover.
How long will delivery take, and is COD available?
Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days and delivered across India in 3–7 business days. Prepaid orders ship free. Cash on Delivery is available with a nominal handling charge of ₹59.
Can I return or exchange this saree?
You must raise a return or exchange within 48 hours of delivery. Returns are accepted for damaged or defective products, with images shared. You can also exchange the saree if it isn't right for you, as long as it's unused, with tags, packaging and invoice intact. Slight colour variation due to screen and lighting isn't grounds for a return.
