A wine and magenta chiffon saree with a shibori print and zari work, cut 6.5 metres including blouse fabric. The shibori pattern runs in soft, bleeding bands of colour, crossed by fine gold zari stripes, and deepens from bright magenta into wine along the drape.
A wide gold zari border with tassels finishes it, and chiffon keeps the whole thing feather-light, the easiest kind of saree to carry through a long evening.
What you're getting
- Fabric: Chiffon
- Colour: Wine and magenta
- Design: Shibori print with gold zari stripes
- Border: Wide gold zari border with floral motifs, finished with tassels
- Length: 6.5 metres, including blouse fabric
Where to wear it
Festive occasions, weddings as a guest, family celebrations, evening parties and get-togethers.
How to style it
Gold jewellery matches the zari; kundan or polki pieces suit wedding functions. A plain wine blouse keeps it tonal, or gold for a more festive finish.
Caring for it
Dry clean only. Chiffon and zari both need gentle handling: iron on low heat on the reverse side, avoid ironing directly over the zari, and store the saree folded in a muslin cover away from direct sunlight.
Please note: slight colour variation from the images is possible due to camera settings and lighting. Returns and exchanges are not accepted on this ground.
Frequently asked questions
What fabric is this saree made of?
Chiffon, which is sheer, light and falls in a soft, fluid drape.
What is shibori?
Shibori is a Japanese resist-dyeing tradition that produces soft, blurred bands and patterns. This saree carries a shibori print.
What is zari?
Zari is metallic thread woven into fabric to form stripes, motifs and borders. On this saree it forms the fine stripes across the body and the wide floral border.
Does this saree come with a blouse?

What is the length of this saree?
6.5 metres in total, including the blouse fabric.
Is a chiffon saree easy to drape?
Chiffon is very light and fluid. Adding a fall and pico before the first wear helps the pleats sit better and keeps the drape in place.

Yes. The zari border and deep wine tones suit weddings as a guest, festive occasions and evening parties.
What blouse colour goes with it?
A plain wine blouse keeps it tonal, or gold for a more festive finish.
What jewellery goes with it?
Gold jewellery matches the zari, or kundan or polki pieces for wedding functions.
How do I care for a zari saree?
Dry clean only. Iron on low heat on the reverse, avoid ironing over the zari, and store it folded in a muslin cover.
